Community Guidelines

Why this page exists

Rivayet is a collective storytelling app. The user who locks a choice permanently signs the scene's canon. Because this permanence carries weight, we hold both decision-makers and the broader community to a shared culture.

This page summarizes our expected behavior and prohibited content.

Expected behavior

  • Decide with the community in mind.
  • Respect other users (winners / losers of lock attempts).
  • Help AI-generated content stay meaningful for everyone.
  • Report mistakes silently to moderation.

Prohibited content — zero tolerance

The following are removed immediately, with refunds where applicable, and may result in suspension or permanent deletion:

Legally prohibited

  • CSAM (child exploitation material) — zero tolerance, reported to law enforcement
  • Terror propaganda — under Turkish Penal Code Art. 7/2 et al.
  • Crimes against state organs under TPC Art. 301 / Law No. 5651 §8
  • Copyright / trademark violations — direct or derivative use of characters, worlds, or formats such as Naruto, Sherlock Holmes, the Marvel universe, etc.

Harmful to the community

  • Hate speech — racial, ethnic, religious, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality-based denigration or dehumanization
  • Incitement to violence — toward real-world action
  • Suicide / self-harm encouragement — if triggered, in-app links to support lines (Türkiye Suicide Prevention 182) appear
  • Sexual content — not permitted under Apple App Store rules
  • Defamation of real persons — living or deceased

Harmful to product integrity

  • Automated manipulation — bot voting / locking, multi-account scene capture
  • Moderation bypass — prompt injection or jailbreak attempts
  • Deceptive presentation — claiming another user's won decision, account selling, account swapping

Our review process

  1. Automated moderation (6 layers): - (1) Username / profile moderation - (2) Pre-input cleaning of AI-generated options - (3) Copyright / IP semantic-similarity filter - (4) LLM canonicalizer (rewrite if forbidden motifs are detected) - (5) Output moderation (panel / caption) - (6) Community report → admin review → decision
  1. Community reports are reviewed within 48 hours of receipt.
  1. Possible outcomes: - Warning — first or minor violations - Temporary restriction — voting / locking disabled for 7 days - Account suspension — repeat or serious violations - Permanent deletion — depending on severity or persistence
  1. Right of appeal: You may appeal a decision by emailing onurmesta@gmail.com within 14 days. Appeals are re-reviewed by a different moderator.

  • Each panel has an in-app "Report" button.
  • You may also email onurmesta@gmail.com with a screenshot.
  • We cooperate with authorities under Law No. 5651 Art. 9 takedown requests.
